This isnt your grandma's roller derby, this is Womens Flat Track Roller Derby.
The Sin Cal Derby Vixens is an all-female, full-contact, flat-track roller derby league in the central valley. We are a grassroots organization built by the hands of a small group of even-tempered, level-headed, intelligent women who had the dream to bring the sport and art of roller derby to our area.
The mission of SCDV is to further the sport of women's flat-track roller derby, as well as further the personal growth and development of our fellow derby sisters.
In doing so, we will provide the women and girls of the central valley the opportunity to experience athleticism, we will develop both the skills to compete and the skills to thrive as productive members of our community, we will facilitate the development of athletic ability, sportswoman ship and we will foster goodwill among fellow leagues.
We will take an active role in supporting our community through volunteer work and fundraising. Through our actions and dedication, we will inspire the members of the league and the community.
We will place character before appearance, be welcoming rather than exclusive, and honorable rather than popular; work earnestly, speak kindly, act sincerely, and choose thoughtfully, be a good sport always, never be discouraged, be loyal in both words and actions to the ideals of our derby sisters while also raising our own voices, so that together the members of our league become an expression of that which is truest and strongest in all of us.
In short - to be a womanly force of honor, playfulness and empowerment!
