Who We Are

The Gold Coast Derby Grrls are a skater-owned and operated roller derby league, which promotes the safety and enjoyment of competing throughout the United States. Through hard work and optimism, we have produced a tenacious and fierce league. Our goal is to raise money to travel as well as give back to our community and other charitable organizations.

Where We Have Been

Since our humble beginnings, BCDG has been a growing force in roller derby, making it our mission to develop into one of the best programs in the nation. In our first season BCDG played a total of 13 bouts, which is almost unheard of for a first year team. We even held our own tournament the Sunshine Skate Smackdown, and attended the Fall Brawl II in Ft. Wayne. By the second season, BCDG had taken 3rd at the Sunshine Skate and were already bringing teams from all over the nation to bout in South Florida.

Where We Are Going

What’s next for the BCDG? As roller derby continues its path towards world domination, BCDG has continued to grow and evolve. As their numbers started to grown they realized they had outgrown their name. BCDG opened up their 3rd season as the Gold Coast Derby Grrls (GCDG). Composed of skaters from Broward, Miami-Dade, and the Palm Beaches. We meet three times a week for practice and twice a week for off skates.
